from the beautiful surroundings of Belfast Met... is a wonderful director from Northern Ireland, Lynne Davison.
Her Debut feature MANDRAKE follows probation officer Cathy Madden, given the task of rehabilitating notorious killer ‘Bloody’ Mary Laidlaw back into society after twenty years of jail. Cathy has always believed that every client deserves a shot at redemption, but her beliefs are firmly tested when two children disappear near Mary’s farm.
Lynne Davison was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. She has been a Writer and Director since 2004 with films in the Belfast Film Festival, Chicago Irish Film Festival and the 26th BFI London Lesbian and Gay Film festival. It is an important interest of Lynne’s to explore thought provoking female led universal stories within Drama, Sci Fi, Horror and Fantasy genres
